Playing the piano in Peace Square
Namesti Miru (or Peace Square) is one of my favourite squares in Prague. It is graced by a beautiful church. At Christmas and Easter it is the scene of lovely seasonal markets, and is much more accessible and easier to get around than the tourist-tramelled Old Town Square (although that is lovely too). The school I work for also has offices and classrooms on this square which is why I was visiting today. One of my delightful colleagues, Jaromir, mentioned that someone he knows has put pianos in five squares around Prague for anyone who wants to to play. I was going to post a photo of Jaromir and Jana, but they convinced me to get a photo of the piano while it was still there ...
