Sisters in Sync

Here is my good friend C and her sister L seated near each other at the Japanese memorial on Bainbridge Island. here

I have blipped this site before, but C wanted her sister to experience this poignant memorial site located near the site where Bainbridge Island Japanese people were taken by ferry to Seattle and then interned down in California. They were the first in the country to be interned this way.

The day was lovely...a bit iffy at first but it turned out sunny and not too hot--perfect day. We began with tea at the Panama Hotel which is in Seattle and is where many belonging of those sent off to internment camps were stored. history here
