Crimson Rosella

Regular walk up Simpson's hill with the dog. The Crimson Rosella (Platycercus Elegans) is a parrot commonly seen around Canberra. It is native to eastern and south eastern Australia and is an introduced species in New Zealand and Norfolk Island.
