Tinkering Time...

I've been tinkering away over the last couple of months. Filling in the time between the kids' and my own bedtime.

This is my 21st birthday watch and one of my oldest material possessions. I'd heard about Nixon making watches with strap links made from skateboard ply wood so decided to try making my own. This is the result.

Took me frikin' ages!! A combination of lack of free time, very basic tools, self teaching technique and making it a wee bit harder for myself by taking diagonal cross sections out of one of my old boards.

It's not perfect as no two links are the same shape but I'm dead chuffed I managed to finish it.
