Shooting myself

Photographically that is.

I don't do many self portraits but in an attempt to stay away from Photoshop for a while, I have resorted to them this week and it was the idea of taking a self portrait or 'shooting myself' that inspired this picture. It started out without the picture and blood splatter exiting my head, but I have to admit that I'm not quite cured of the Photoshop addiction just yet. Besides, for me, it adds to the humour of the shot, though others may not feel the same way.

Boys night last night. Bar Amigo in Hitchin. Mexican. As stated in yesterday's blip I don't rate Mexican food very highly and Bar Amigo did nothing to change that view. Calamari starter was fine probably because the dip was nicely spiced. The main, apparently a traditional Brazilian stew containing chorizo, ham hock and pork shoulder sounded lovely but was uninspiring on the plate. Pete had a plate loaded with ribs which looked amazing, but I tried some and they tasted like something you buy for £4 from Asda and boil in the bag. Best part of the meal apart from refusing to pay the service charge was the Long Island Iced Tea.

Finished off with a beer in the Sun Inn and a game of GREED. £1 each in the pot (high rollers or what) and I won. That paid for my Iced Tea.

Disaster for Adrian who managed to ride over the kerb when parking his car. It caught the front valance and probably did very little damage UNTIL he reversed and pretty much pulled the whole damn thing off. We had to borrow some duck tape from a guy in the shop next door and carry out some running repairs. I hope he got home without losing it.
