Greenland east coast from the air
Flying back to Iceland from Kulasuk. The Fokker twin prop runs north along the coast for a short distance before crossing the Denmark strait to Reykjavik.
From here you can see the extent of the valley glaciers. The further in you go the more they rise up and combine to form the massive ice sheet that covers most of the country to a depth of over 2km. It is hard to believe that it is fast disappearing.
The flight takes a little under two hours.
