Bug's Life

A very nice day off with team Oreo (Dee and Simone) and the milk (Dean) at Aqualand! Got to love that place... also saw Laura and her parents who are visiting and Ben and Jenny.

Decided to risk it and spend the day without suncream and turned out fine - didn't get burnt at all! My skin, even if it isn't very brown, is definitely more used to the sun now. Lots of floating about on the Lazy River and in the wave pool and a few slides as well. Got home and found this praying mantis on the patio outside our house - such funny looking things! The photo isn't as crisp as I like, but being so small it was hard to get the focus accurate and it was starting to get dark too so the iso had to go up.

Finished off the day with a couple of cocktails and live music as Los Amigos with Natalia, a rep I'm friends with from Slovakia, which was long overdue and very nice indeed.

It's seems that when you're away for three months, you're so busy at the start trying to settle in and find your feet, and it's only as you're going that you really get friendships to the level of doing things together - I only really see a lot of people in passing so you have to really arrange time to see people properly. Maybe I'm just not proactive enough - lesson learned - be more forward!
