Toltec Warrior, Museum subway station, Toronto
I was downtown last night for a #TorSciTweetup at the Duke of York Pub in Toronto. That hashtag stands for Toronto Science Tweetup where tweeters of science stuff in the Toronto area gather for good times. Afterwards, a fellow guest and I had to make for the GO bus to get home so we walked to the Museum Station on the TTC. Several years ago, they turned a boring, nondescript station into this fantastic experience. It is my favourite now. This blip features a Toltec warrior column.
A wider view blipped nearly two years ago showing more of the columns including an Egyptian mummy sculpture. Plus, there are links to more information about the station's nifty design.
Upstairs and outside: The Royal Ontario Museum and its controversial crystal.
