another cultural happening courtesy of blip. we went to edinburgh for the pixar exhibition on the blip recommendation of joe bloggs. it was great and the zoetrope alone was worth the visit.
i started blipping 199 days ago because i bought the the list, the glasgow/edinburgh listings magazine looking for something interesting to do. and there was blip. but it's been so much more!
i realise that courtesy of blippers, as well as seeing the exhibition today, i've also bought a book, done a bit of book crossing, found a great band, and of course, heard our great leader's voice on the radio.
what a palace of earthly delights blipville is.
in respect of the day, we felt:-
virtuous and thrifty because we used our family rail card;
amazed at the fact that the elephant house cafe makes scrambled eggs in a microwave;
annoyed by waitresses turning up music too loud;
pleased that my hearing aid gives us a great excuse to ask to have the music turned down;
in awe of pixar's artistry;
energised by cake in the cafe;
delighted by the robot which can spell your name in bricks in the museum;
claustrophobic due to carpetbiter2's inability to keep still when exhausted, especially in crowded places;
tempted to ask the friendly 19 yr old student in the train who kept carpetbiter2 amused if she did babysitting;
weary at the journey back from queen street;
comforted by pasta, dr who and joseph;
really irritated by kids mucking about at bedtime;
relieved by the idea of another beer.
