New Mexico Letterbox
We were going for a walk down to the Rio Grande Bosque, here in Albuquerque, but it got so hot, we had to turn back.
On the way back, I spotted this unique New Mexico Letterbox, which was built into this special display wall, and really shows the colours and shapes of this wonderful State. The terracotta colour is seen every where in the adobe constructions.
The later afternoon sun really intensified the colour.
This is the same street, La Mancha, where I blipped a wood and copper door last September.

Albuquerque is also the birthplace and home of one of the greatest car racers of all time in Al Unser Sr (born May 29, 1939). Al is a former champion American automobile racing driver, the younger brother of fellow racing drivers Jerry and Bobby Unser, and father of Al Unser, Jr.
He is the second of only three men to have won the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race four times. He is the only person to have both a sibling (Bobby) and child (Al Jr.) as fellow Indy 500 winners.
I went to visit this remarkable guy at his own museum, the Unser Racing Museum, located at the Unser Discovery Campus, 1776 Montaño Road NW, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM. I chatted with him and had him sign a copy of his book for me.
Maybe I will go back and blip a photo for Hobbs of one of his 4 Indy winning cars. If you have a chance to visit this museum, do not miss it and its fabulous collection.
