Waiting for the storm

All day the air has been heavy and the clouds have been gathering, the rain flirting with us but refusing to fall. The wind is from the sea, le marin, which brings what little rain we have here. The garden could do with some rain, and so could we, to clear the air. The usual pattern is that a thunderstorm starts just after midnight - I hope it does tonight.

I used Picasa to put a filter on the sky in this photo, the first time I've done this, but only to make it look more like it really does.
