That Friday feeling...
It's been a long week; the first back at work after the summer holidays. As the bell went at the end of this afternoon, there was a collective sigh of relief from the staff and children alike. Never mind a long week however, today has been a long AND frustrating blip day.
It began at 7.30 this morning. It was raining. Great I thought - a shot of the fain falling beautifully in a morning puddle. Several shots later, I am soaked. Result? Grey shots of virtually nothing. Where were the lovely splashes? The water bouncing sharply in the puddle? No idea? Perhaps I need more practice or should pay closer attention to the many features on the camera that I don't even know what they mean nor what they do!
No worries, I thought - I'll blip the clock at 3.20. That will be a great reminder that the week at school is finished. Result? It was 4.15 as we headed out of the door, shouting our goodbyes, that I remembered - the blip! Oh well, the day wasn't over yet.
Arriving home i reaslised just how tired I was - settled sofa bound and had forty (or more) winks. This was followed by a celebratory Chinese take-away and a little TV. Then I remembered again - the blip. The only part of Friday left to snap was therefore the obligotory Fruit Gums.
There are several potential blips worth of discussion around my favourite fruity little sweet - I mean - have you any idea how hard they are to find in the shops these days? Go on - next time you are in a Supermarket, look out for them? They're a dying breed. And don't get me started on the distribution of green and yellow ones - this packet's a good one - but my earlier one (ate just after snooze) had NOT ONE GREEN! I was incensed!
So here it is...my second packet of Fruit Gums this evening. (Minus one that rolled away into my mouth as I took the photo!)
Weekend approaches. Let's hope my blipping is slightly more a) successful and b) interesting. Sorry I can'twon't share my sweets!
