Quirky Stirling
This quirky chair caught my eye this afternoon while browsing in the Made in Stirling shop offering work by local artists and makers.
For some reason skulls are “hot” in youth culture- hence this retro chic (or should it be shabby chic) second –hand chair that has been given a coat of lime green paint with a seat pad made up of imprints of skulls.
Project manager Paula Morgan says it’s the work of Alva based Angela Wilson who collects the stuff you and I would throw out and gives it a makeover.
Old suitcases are another of her unusual specialities.
It’s good to see local artists getting such a high profile exhibition/selling space right in the heart of Stirling.
