Pecking order

These crows (or ravens?) were busy picking up the bits of corn in the field opposite our house this evening. I am glad they didn't come into the garden, as our goldfinches were back and consumed a huge amount of niger seed today!
At the village cafe this morning, people were discussing their possible exhibits for the Village Show tomorrow. Beans? tomatoes? roses? chutney?
