Happy couple

Today was crazy busy, but it was a good busy. Lots of nice things happened and I saw so many people and it was lovely.

I started today with a very casual job trial at a cafe around the corner that I handed my resume into ages ago. They called last Friday, and again yesterday, and I went in today to make some coffee and chat to the manager. It went quite well and I'm going to do a proper trial tomorrow.

I went home and edited and submitted my assignment, and then went out for a very nice lunch, complete with ice cream and a walk along the river afterwards. I headed back home for a bit of a rest before first Julia and then Mum came over. We all had a drink and a good chat about our news - mine included my results from Warwick, which arrived today. They're really good, some better than expected, and I'm so proud of myself because some of those assignments were a struggle!

Julia and I then went out to Box Hill to meet everyone (no, really) for dinner. For the first time in a very, very long time we were all there, including a few partners. The most exciting was Steph's boyfriend, who literally arrived in Melbourne from Cambodia this morning. We had a lovely dinner and catch up - I hadn't planned on going because of my assignment, but I'm so so glad I did.
