Opening of Belfairs Woodland Centre

Sunny, blustery day. Did some jobs in the morning then Ali and Dave came round for a while. In the afternoon Essex Wildlife Trust had the opening of their new centre by Martin Hughes-Games, presenter on Springwatch and the Mayor of Southend on Sea. This centre is very near to where I grew up and have walked and rode here many times, so it was lovely to see this building being opened. There were various speeches, Martin was amusing and interesting, there were many thank yous to people/companies who helped make it possible and I hope it will be well used. Liked this shot I took through the crowds of Martin and a camera man (don't know who he was representing, might be on local news).
