Rich pickings

This is a reminder to myself to go down to the river again to pick the blackberries. They have already been well picked over but there are enough left to be worth taking a bowl down there tomorrow. This afternoon I was up a ladder picking the first figs of the season. They have ripened very quickly and some are already over ripe in the space of a week.
