Making a statement
Another day, another challenge. Some might say it wasn't as hard as the fella's yesterday but I'd have to disagree. I have some press events this week for work - interviews, presentations and stuff - so needed to figure out what the hell to wear. How do I look professional and stylish? A quick consult with my favourite pr guru Lady Pride revealed a trip to the shops was needed to buy a white shirt and a statement necklace.
Luckily Chester was on the way home and the fella was willing to help as long as I kept the search under an hour and he got food afterwards. Challenge on. After a few false starts, tracked down a great cream silk shirt from Whistles. Had identified Zara as prime necklace hunting ground - and they had some great ones. But there was no way to try them on as the 2 ends were cable tied together. The shop assistant refused to cut them off and even said if I did the same at home I then couldn't return it! How stupid. So we left for shops that were more customer friendly. And I smashed the challenge by finding 3 options in under the time limit! Now all I need to do is decide which one to wear.
Rest of journey home went well - fella poured over the results from yesterday and finished in the top half so was very pleased with himself. Which he should be.
Now need to pack for trip - getting picked up at 5.40am tomorrow. Urgh.
