Hop harvest - Day 5: Up in the air

Finally something broke down today. The blade that cuts the hop twines at the lower end before they are torn down wasn't turning anymore - a bearing broke. That delayed our progress for about two hours; still not much compared to some other years. The weather is also deteriorating fast - it's probably going to rain tomorrow.

After yesterday's image of the inside of the kiln, today you see the outside. You really have a great view from up there, as long as the weather is fine. Obviously it's going to be another long day today.
