went for a wander at lunchtime and met the chap with the hawk (i'm using that as a generic term, no idea what kind of bird of prey it is) at the parliament - the latest bright idea from some spark for pest control without blood and guts. it's pretty effective as far as the parly is concerned. but the sodding pigeons and seagulls have only moved 300 yards away - to my street! far better to cull the flying rats and be done with it; it would let my cuter visitors feed in peace! i couldn't capture this beauty in flight, sorry, but you get a good look at those wings here, very striking.
