Getting things into perspective

I'd only just finished posting yesterday's rant when the skies became leaden, the heavens opened accompanying a very noisy thunderstorm. And then this beautiful rainbow appeared, as if on cue and it just had to be blipped.
The events of the morning became a slight irritation, how could I not be thankful for this glorious, natural sight over my own garden. It reminded me of a saying I heard recently from a friend who has overcome some dreadful hardships within her own family, she quotes 'No rain, no rainbows'. How lovely is that?!
