So Near and Yet So Far

Today was our semi-final of the open triples at the Bowling Club. We were 3 shots down playing the last end of the game and we were lying three shots to get an extra end but I had one bowl left to play so we decided that I should try to draw another shot to win the game. So I set my bowl off with what I thought was the right road, but it was slightly tighter. As it trundled up the green, I noticed that it was starting to bend towards one of our opponents bowls then thud, it knocks their bowl up slightly so what damage have I done? I'm afraid to say I knocked them in for second shot so we were beat and out.

Still on the bright side, the three of us got £25 each for reaching the semi-final and the team that beat us, went on to win it. A great day, but I was a wee bit gutted that we never got to the final for Euan's sake.

The blip today is off Gavin's ramp with the slats of the fence casting a shadow on it. Another arty affair, this is what happens when you are bowling all day.
