The Red Block
Shev, G. and I as part of the Theatre Group were at Roslin today doing Punch and Judy at their Fun Day. We done two shows, one at 1.15 and one at 3.15. In between shows we took a wander around all the stalls. We had coffee, choc brownies, almond pastries which were all homemade. Before that we had homemade soup with rustic rolls, so you could say we were well fed and watered.
We had two brilliant audiences for our shows which made it all worthwhile. It does the heart good to see so many smiling faces and to hear so many belly laughs.
I forgot to take my camera this afternoon so decided on the way back from taking Hayley home, to go back into Roslin and take a photo of the Red Block. This is where my dad was born in 1930, they are such stand out buildings in Roslin due to their colour.
My dad says that one of the flats is haunted. Someone who stays there said to my dad in the pub one time that he saw a man in a string vest with his braces hanging down doing the dishes at the sink and my dad told him that the man who stayed there years ago always went about his house dressed like that. Spooky stuff.
So that's the blip today, a fun day at Roslin was had by us all in the Theatre Group. Hope you like the shot of the Red Block.
