Look at the size of this one!

To the left a young male Fur Seal, typical size of the seals we're used to dealing with.

To the right (and in fact most of the rest of the picture) is a male Elephant Seal. They'll be starting to haul out on most of the flat beaches around South Georgia in anticipation of the breeding season. Hopefully we'll get a female or two giving birth on Bird Island but it's very rare to see a giant like this here.
