Hello, Anna!
Such fun to see the resident Anna's hummers here in OR! Took this shot at the Audubon Center in Portland, and am hoping to get some better shots of the ones visiting mom's feeder. Took this with the Nikon Coolpix p510 bridge camera - not a D600 calibre image, but good enough! You can see this males magenta throat and head pretty well, and I caught him with beak agape.
Also saw a very different wooly bear cat today - in addition to the normal red and brown, it also had long white bristles. And a slug that was over 3 inches long and bigger around than a Cuban cigar! Wow, they really have BIG slugs here! Posted a few other shots on Flickr if you would care to have a look.
May head over to Tualitin tomorrow ...
