Day at the beach

After last week, when it was the busy Labor Day holiday, signifying the end of the summer holidays, it's been noticeably quieter.

It was so nice to spend the afternoon at the beach with R and a couple of her friends - teenagers squealing and chatting - while J paddled round from Capitola beach in his kayak.

Another 'wow...we LIVE here' moment.

This is not our his-and-hers fishing set-up, by the way - just near to where we were sitting. I don't even know if it was a his-and-her.

It always seems funny to me that women go fishing. Hey...that's a prejudice, right there.
