Levens Hall
On or way back home from the Lake District stopped off at Levens Hall near Kendal. We walked round the garden first and came upon this incredible beast, which was all 'steamed up' and looked magnificent.
The gardens have some great topiary, which was in the process of being trimmed. The house is lived in and you can wander around without ropes stopping you getting close to objects and you are even invited to sit on some of the chairs!
Had a full Sunday lunch in Lancaster which ended a week-end of lots of food and wine and have more to look forward to when I am off walking in France for a week starting this Saturday. Yippee!
Will attempt to catch up on all your blips later today.
