Beauty in small things

Today was a busy one, I drove from Hampshire to Cambridgeshire hitting every set of roadworks possible!
I met up with a very lovely friend and her son. She as had a really terrible time this year, and I can hardly begin to describe what she has been through. Her whole life has been turned upside down, she has lost her husband (infidelity) her home (mental health act used against her) and has fought to regain somewhere to live, and access to her son. Very complicated, but suffice to say she has been treated very badly by the systems supposed to support her. It was however, very lovely to see them both and catch up. It makes you realise how fragile our lives really are, and also what terrible ingrained prejudice there is against mental health sufferers - which, lets face it, covers a very large number of people.
