A rainy day at the Arboretum

Today I went with J and her mum to the Hillier Arboretum, which is, essentially, a collection of trees from around the world. It also boasts some very well kept gardens, and is well worth a look.

I took over 200 pictures of the beautiful flowers and local artwork, and despite the fact that the weather came in on us, turning from mildly unpleasant to a full on torrential downpour (forcing us to huddle under our umbrellas!) the pictures were still a riot of colour.

I had a play with the images in picasa, and made this collage to show the colours off.

In the evening we went to the pub quiz, and did very well (even though we still came last).
