Taking it Easy!
This is the day of the month to do as little as possible-- which Gracie T-t is doing here. And perhaps tomorrow too...
The weather this week is well into the big change into Autumn type. The cool rain of Tuesday changed within an hour to 95% humidity and rapid rise in heat. The steam poured right into the night making all the crickets and grasshoppers shout for joy!
A 6 a.m. temperature was 70ºF to start the day and pitch dark, too. Today will see a high of 92ºF (33ºC) & within a week the low will be 28ºF (-2.2º)-- a hard frost marking the beginning of Indian Summer. Except for the fact that I am driving an elderly neighbour to the city for a specialist's appointment this afternoon, I would be lolling around like GT-t, too.
I hope our night time temps. will cool down enough for me to get some sleep. The singing insects do not feel the same. There's a whole lot of 'last-chance' mating going on out there at night until the frost arrives.
And so, as they say in Louisiana, "How's by you?"
