Great balls of fish

Back blipping.....September is swamping me already. These are fish balls and I have eaten them since I was small and so don't question their strange, rubbery texture or very fishy taste (actually the fish balls I ate in Singapore last year had a much more yielding texture and tasted really fresh). They're basically mushed up bits of white fish, salt and MSG and were probably invented as a way of using up small pieces of leftover fish. My point is that I eat them more out of habit than desire - if you asked me to try them now I would, but I may not want to eat a whole pack. When my cousin came to stay with us when we were young he downright refused to eat them - he said there was no way he was eating the balls of fish...
