Travelling the Distance, 2006

There are a number of works of art situated around the Scottish Parliament. This particular one sits in the public area close to the garden lobby meeting rooms. It is entitled 'Travelling the Distance' and is by the artist Shauna McMullan.

It is made up of 100 handwritten sentences made of porcelain, by women from around Scotland.

Given that today is the twelfth anniversary of the attacks on the twin towers in New York I wanted to blip something that is a positive contribution to life on the anniversary of such a heinous act.
