Ruff
Time to investigate the whereabouts of Letham Pools. There's a Temminck's Stint there and my only previous sighting was exceedingly distant.
First the good news, Letham Pools are a cracking wee roadside site with a good variety of birds, Curlew Sandpiper, Ruff, Black-tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Curlew and the Temminck's Stint were all present today and with northerly views the viewing was good with the sun behind.
The bad news - the Temminck's Stint was even more distant than my previous sighting. Hey Ho.
I interspersed my two visits to Letham Pools today with a bit of a picnic and sea watching at Kiinghorn harbour. Sandwich Tern and Arctic Skua were the highlights.
