Sunshine Breakfast

As I was doing my BTO Garden Birdwatch this morning, I noticed the shadow of something on a garden storage box, flickering away, and when I looked for the source, I spotted this delightful scene in the morning sunshine - a greenfinch feeding a newly fledged chick. So there, all you gloom and doom, winter is nearly here merchants - it's still Spring. I abandoned my post briefly to fetch my camera, fortunately still with the long lens mounted from yesterday, and took this through the kitchen window.
I've been catching up with some jobs and resumed the interminable emulsioning , knowing my blip was in the bag!
