Dog Falls

After a fitful sleep in the Dog Falls car park in Glen Affric, it was only polite that I should shoulder the tripod along to the eponymous water feature to grab a pretty photo. So after a strong coffee and a snackpot porridge I donned the midgie net and wandered along to the bridge over the river Affric ten minutes up the road where this was shot.

I then had a wonderful day walking the waymarked trails at each of the 3 main car parks in Glen Affric Forest, probably Scotland's most beautiful? It was a wet and drippy day, perfect for seeing it in all it's glory. Green and luscious with toadstools the size of pudding bowls at every turn, I was particularly impressed with Plodda Falls and its impressive sequoia trail.

I've never been here before, but I'll be calling back soon now I've discovered it. Definitely worth the extra 50 miles push from Aviemore.
