A stranger ...
HeartFreek's September Challenge.
As I had a day off work today I decided to visit Beamish Museum. This weekend there is an Agricultural Show taking place and the Edwardian bakery was officially opened yesterday too.
They had put in a tremendous effort to re-create a typical country show from the early 1900s with welly wanging, scarecrow making for the children (and adults if you fancy trying it!), bee-keeping demonstrations and lots more. My favourite was the Birds of Prey show. The chap put on an amazing display of all manner of birds. He obviously works very hard with the birds on an individual basis to train them as well as he does. This is the talented chap (my stranger for the challenge) with one of his impressive birds.
I think I will try to get back to the Museum on Saturday or Sunday as it is only ten minutes from home, it would be a shame not to. The chips wrapped in newspaper from Davy's Coal Fired Fish and Chip Shop were delicious too ...
