Rosie a little tired?
She didn't even have a drop of the bubbly stuff last night. Mona & Angie out for a ride and Mike went along with Asyr on foot. Asyr is no longer rideable but he likes to get out and clearly enjoyed it as apparently Mike did - he's not one for a stroll, prefering a brisk walk. Mona, who took an immediate liking to Rosie when she saw her for the first time also had a good ride. I personally think the two look good together. Hopefully the first of many rides to come. The weather played along for the walk. We were able to sit outdoors on the terrace for most of the afternoon but had to go in for a (very) late lunch followed a little later by having a coffee and bit of birthday cake Angie had made for Mona. Sadly they had to leave early evening and Angie has driven them back to Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich and taking the opportunity to deliver tomatoes, eggs and honey to her mother.
So a quiet evening for me & the dogs watching a ridiculously old fashioned 2 hour prime time live TV show which has been running for over 30 years with around 5 shows a year presented from various towns/cities. It's 99.9% German speaking folk music from Austria/Germany/Switzerland with a huge audience in the hall, all dressed in tradional costume, ranging from 1 to 100, sitting at beer tables, drinking and clapping along. It's a mystery to me but somehow fascinating.
Cellar hasn't flooded but the pumps still working overtime. Luckily skin hasn't yet begun to grow between my toes but with the weather forecast for the coming week, it's still possible. Next Saturday, the "Wiesn" or Oktoberfest starts in Munich so hopefully the weather clears up by then.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
