Cendrillon et Fée Clochette
Cinderella and Tinker Bell
After promising a family two separate things at Cheese and Wine, one (the parents): to eat with them one night in the week and two (the children): to watch a Tinker Bell film with them if they let their parents have a lie-in the next day. Which, incidentally, lead to the cutest thing I have heard from the youngest, aged 5…“but I can’t give them a lie-in”, my reply “but why can’t you give them a lie-in” to which she said “I don’t have a lion”. Anyway, they both did let their parents sleep in, so we did have to fulfil our promise!
So later that evening we went round to their house for an absolutely lovely evening. They really had made a lot of effort to make something that was suitable for Thom, as well as fulfilling the needs of the rest of the meat eaters! There was a platter of vegetables roasted with garlic, courgettes sautéed with rosemary, couscous with black olives, and steak for those of us who ate it with a lovely dessert of merangue with fresh berries and cream. Not to mention an amazing cheese board and lots of great wine! After having conversation whilst “watching” said two films with the little ones, it was time for them to be put to bed, where they asked if I would read them a story. So in I went with Thom to read to them…and then as soon as I’d finished a chapter they went straight to sleep! The evening continued from there, and I have to admit that I was very merry when we left to go back to ours.
This photograph is taken from the bottom of our half of the campsite, pretty much the first thing that you would see as a customer coming in for the first time. On the right hand side you may just glimpse a board sticking out from the top mobile home…that is our reception/home. We really were lucky in the beauty of our campsite compared to that of others.
