Amazing Art

Fully rested after his our medical dramas, my husband and I (can never say that without thinking of the Queen!) visited some more of the Open Studios around Perthshire and were treated to delightful works of art and equally delightful artists!

This is the work of a young artist called Val Barr and we just loved it, so bought this beautiful print to hang in our dining room. We also bought some of her gorgeous cards, but may be reluctant to give them away to people!! With a pretty pottery dish bought in another studio, it's perhaps just as well that the event will be closing tomorrow, so I can start saving for next year!

I decided to try out a new recipe posted on blipfoto by author Peter May, which is ideal for using some of the many courgettes which have flourished this year. It didn't look too appetising before going in the oven (see here), but it was a whole different story when it was ready (see here). They tasted every bit as good as they look and I can recommend that you give it a try!
