Sunday lunch

During the morning we wandered around the Antique Fair at the Staffordshire Agricultural Showground. Three halls of stalls, ranging from the mounds of dusty clutter to seriously valuable treasures.

I didn't "invest". I found a beautiful ring with a frog on the top, white gold, encrusted with vibrant green jewels. She wanted £700 starting point. But I would never have worn it so I didn't waste her time. There was a glorious opal, enormous, but set in thin and cheap gold so I was suspicious.

I love a day out when I can just look and appreciate.

Lunch at Weston Hall was lovely. Succulent beef, reasonable prices too.

And back home before the forecast storm :-)
