And still they soar!
I often feel I am over ambitious with my attempts at photography -
today's blip is a classic example.
It's pouring with rain, the light is poor, yet the House Martins are still on the wing, fueling up on insects before their long journey south - and I think I can get a decent shot of them!
When the wind blows from the west, my front garden is quite sheltered offering these acrobatic birds a circuit between the trees in which to swoop and dive.
I have better shots from the day (different subjects), but this had to be my blip, and it is the best of the 30 shots I took of these birds.
If you look very carefully there are 11 House Martins visible (but you'll have to look with an optimist's eye.)
My ambition no way matches their determination.
