little pilot

Up early this morning and off on the tube to Kew Gardens. My son and little grandson met us there and we had a lovely day wandering about the gardens and the glass houses. As always Kew was magnificent, and especially interesting were the extensive formal beds planted exclusively with edible plants (- the incrEdibles!), but I only had eyes for the little fella, happy little star that he is.
He has recently decided that he is going to be a pilot and this is a favourite game, running along with outstretched arms, being an aeroplane, while Dad hums the theme from 'The Dambusters' .
The girl joined in, and away they went, flying around Kew !

It was sad parting with them again...
