The bird bush

This was just a small bush when we moved into our home 30+ years ago. It's turned into a tree. Although it blocks our view in the summer, we decided not to chop it down. The birds and squirrels love it. During the winter it provides shelter, they take the sunflower seeds from the feeder and eat them there and in the spring they eat the seeds until the tree is bare and the green leaves come back.
I got a lot done today. I've been in such a dither since we closed up the cabin with all the things that need to be done; I made a list this morning to organized my thoughts. The rest of the morning was spent updating our financial information which has been sorely neglected this summer. I started the fire in the hot tub and was able to enjoy that for an hour this afternoon.
