Monster Fun Gee Morning!!

I'm still trying to identify some of the funghi I've snapped this morning!

I think this is Shaggy Scalycap (Pholiota squarrosa) - but I'm very happy to be corrected. It was quite small and located at the base of a silver birch.

I was causing quite a stir as I squatted down to take my photos - I certainly got talking to many other folks out walking as they wanted to know what I'd found.

I also got to see my grebes again. Mum was feeding the young one, but it was also attempting to dive for it's own fish - not all that successfully - but it has to start somewhere..
