A slice of Lesley's life

Getting things done

These slow films can take their time.

In contrast, not very much slow about my day which has been a good thing. Even Carlos getting up at stupid o'clock to play who can be first in the office (he won, hurrah) didn't darken a brighter morning. My mojo would seem to have returned and I have actually managed to achieve some things that feel worthwhile which brightens me up no end. Even did something which I am a little scared about but have wanted to do for a while so that's good too.

Operation Bedroom (J is soon to turn 10 and is having is room done to mark the transition) progressed a little with BHF taking a piece of furniture and various folks via Freecycle taking the rest.

Oh, and Anna had her first double bass lesson which was beyond exciting for us all. It might just be the coolest instrument. And apparently after learning this she will be able to play bass guitar too which is the other possible contender for coolest instrument in my humble opinion.

And had a lunchtime walk timed to coincide with the afternoon play and was rewarded for going out in the rain with a dark comedy by Nigel Planer and starring the wonderful Roger Allam.

And still an evening filled with reading Treasure Island with J, Ballet Shoes with Anna followed by salmon curry and a movie with Carlos.

A day of many good things for which I am very grateful,
Lesley x
