Button Bouquet
This is my button wedding bouquet. It was handmade by me and a group of my friends and was admired by many on our wedding day in August.
My mum borrowed my beautiful spray to share with her friend who was very ill in hospital; she thought it would be just the thing to cheer her up and give them something to talk about over the hospital bed. Unfortunately, when mum visited just after the wedding, Celia was too ill to hold a conversation and the moment was lost. Last weekend when Mum and Dad visited, she shared the sad news that Celia had passed away; "She''ll never see your button posy now".
Regardless of your religious views, I like to believe that somewhere, she is looking down and sharing the beauty of the bouquet anyway.
Today has been pretty average apart from a killer laugh at one child's work in History. They were writing instructions for "Making a mummy" linked to their Egyptian Topic, when the Y5 teacher noticed one child's whiteboard had the phrase "First rape your mummy" Now i didn't know that the Ancient Egyptians were necrophiliacs!
