Stop and smell the roses
It was actually a warm and sunny day for the majority of it anyway and turned quite cold and showery in the evening. Actually sat outside and watched the bees and hoverflies with a few butterflies busy on the flowers.
I had cut these roses right back to the ground in the Spring as we were trying to clear the area but they have done better than ever and are full of blooms although a bit late. The garden is still full of colour with corn flowers just coming out and Michaelmas daisies too. Must try and remember to blip them on Michaelmas day on the 29th September.
I even have more buds on the geraniums and plenty of pansy seeds coming up.
A small bank vole has been running around the garden. Much smaller than the wood mouse with smaller ears. A malteser with a tail as Richard calls it :)
