Baa Baa Black Sheep

Day off today and time to catch up with people. Had a cuppa with a friend after school drop off, then went home and got a few chores done whilst Arwen napped. She slept quite a long time, so i ended up running with the buggy most the way to the neighbouring village for lunch with another couple of friends. Our host served quite possibly the most exquisite chocolate cheesecake ever for dessert! Walked back home and then on to school pick up, then back to the first friend's house for more tea and chat - and so the girls could have a play date. Nice evening with hubby watching the latest episode of Bake Off. Love it! These sheep were in the field next to the road as I walked along for lunch. In the background on the fell top you might see the chimney, one of two old lead mine flues which characterise our landscape. This area used to be one of the world's leading lead producers and the population then was several thousand. It's in the hundreds now!
Big day tomorrow - doing some training. Because if being off most of last year I haven't done training for ages, and haven't done this particular course for almost two years. I'm nervous!
