Rush

This evening I went to see Rush at the cinema, a film that I've been looking forward to for a long time! I'm a massive fan of Formula 1, so I really enjoyed it, but I think that non-fans should find it pretty exciting as well. I wasn't around in the 70s, and as someone who grew up watching the relatively safe F1 that we have today it's hard for me to imagine watching a sport knowing that there was good chance that your favourite drivers might not make it out alive. I found that quite powerful to watch, and I'm not sure I'd be able to handle it.

I thought the film itself was very well made, lots of noise and fast cars (obviously), more tension than I imagined considering I already knew the ending, and Chris Hemsworth looking pretty good as James Hunt, swaggering around with all that lovely hair :)
