I like this old sign.

The Rowan above it is heaving with berries. I vaguely recall someone once telling me some connection between lots of berries on the trees and a likelihood of a bad winter. More like a decent summer of growth, but I could be wrong! It's certainly turning cold. The winter duvet is now on the bed and shock, horror I've turned the heating on too.
